Case Studies

ECS Security has recognised during recent years that many of our client’s requirements for security have changed.

We have responded positively and changed our Company’s focus to meet the developing security needs. We can now offer many different types of electronic security surveillance including, wire free intruder alarm systems, battery enabled video capture system that record 10 seconds of video and transmit it to our central control via GPS radio signal. Through to supply, installation and monitoring of full PTZ broadband, radio frequency or 3G enabled integrated CCTV systems that can be monitored in our control centre on many different platforms.

Clients have recognised that static guarding in many situations can be replaced by wire free external alarm systems and CCTV. Most building and construction companies and companies and organisations looking for a long term security solution have moved to this form of security and considerable cost savings can be achieved over static guarding costs, especially since the introduction of the minimum wage and working time regulations.

We incorporate into our charges a manned response of an SIA Approved Contractor to activations within our fixed monthly charge. This means that with our network of SIA Approved Contractors we are able to offer these systems throughout the UK.

ECS  Security systems are designed to avoid unnecessary false alarms with strategic detector positioning with pet corridors to prevent wildlife activations. We now install and monitor systems in our own control centre for companies and organisations as diverse as:

Nottinghamshire County Council
Balfour Beatty Workplace (Rotherham Schools PFI)
Strata Construction, Balfour Beatty Construction, Mansell Construction
Yorkshire Water, Thames water and Scottish Water
Asda PLC
Tarmac plc
Action Housing
ROK Construction
 And many other clients

Case Study

One major client in Worksop had serious misgiving about giving up his static guarding service, but head office had dictated that cost savings needed to be made. ECS designed and installed an integrated system including external alarms and CCTV and made costs saving of over 50%. Our client was reassured when he recognised that ECS offered the back up of monitoring the system in their own control centre and provided a manned response to activations. Although the system has only been installed five months, the client is delighted with the results and cost saving achieved.

Case Study

Spectacular results have been achieved for one major customer during the last year. This customer had placed the monitoring of a number of their own clients systems with ECS Security. This resulted in six arrests being made on their sites by the responding security / Police officers, following activations detected by our trained security CCTV operators / controllers, by carefully monitoring alarm activations from their electronic security and CCTV systems and responding appropriately.

Case Study

In the middle of the midweek day a alarm activation was received in our control centre from one our part derelict former factory sites which had wire free perimeter alarm detection. The ECS responding officer arrived at the location to find three scantily clad young ladies walking about with a fashion photographer doing a ‘fashion shoot’ for a ‘girly’ calendar. The security officer politely spoke to the photographer and advised the young ladies to get dressed and move on as they were trespassing on private property.

Additionally, here we have prepared a few examples of the type of work we undertake. Due to client confidentiality we are unable to identify specific details about our clients.  However, we are able to overview in principle some of our activities. Some of our clients have recieved our services for over 20 years.
