The ‘Security Industry Authority' now manage the licensing of the private security industry as set out in the Private Security Industry Act 2001 . All security officers, managers and directors of contract manned security companies in the UK are required to hold an SIA licence. ECS were among the first 10 companies in the UK to achieve the exacting criteria of the highly prestigious SIA ‘approved contractor status' award, by achieving NSI Guarding gold standard, BS EN ISO 9000:2000, BS7499, 7858 & 7984 and reaching the required target of licensed officers.
